Fusion ToolTorial - HUE Curves Video Lecture | Eyeon Fusion: A Practical Hands On Course - Professional Skills

hi this is Eric from our software and in
this tutorial I'm gonna talk about the
new hue curve stool which is introduced
in fusion 6.1 so here we have this red
footage and I want to add a few curves
tool like so and the first thing you
want to say in the hue curves tool which
looks somewhat similar to the color
curves tool is that there's only one
color gradient here which is the hue
gradient so everything you do with your
various curves always refers to the hue
values you see up here let's begin the
various check boxes up here allow you to
select the actual channel you want to
correct or modify so for example let's
say we want to change the hue of the
yellow of the girl's shirt so I would
activate the huge channel and since I
know that the shirt is yellow I look at
my hue gradient up here select the
yellow color and just move it up a bit
and you see that the color of the yellow
shirt changes well also the colors of
the skin tone change and I don't want
that so with the hue curves tool you can
simply narrow the corrected area in a
little bit that's smooth this point as
you know in fusion shift s smooth this
points out so this is a very selective
correction here now let's assume we want
to boost the blue in the sky so in that
case I could click on my blue channel
here and again orient yourself on the
hue gradient up here so moving this
point in the blue curve would actually
add blue to the yellow areas of the
image which is not really desirable so
let's say I want to pick the color of
the sky go to the pig color button
select the color and you see is up here
so add
a bit more blue to that this is very
narrow so let's widen that up a little
bit like so and finally I want to
suppress the Reds in these areas here so
I go to my red suppress curve again
pick a color which shows up on the line
and I just take the red out of these
areas and again I'm affecting my skin
tones here so let's narrow this in a bit
so
of course all these values can be
animated as you know that from other
tools in fusion like for example the
color curves tool so let's go for
example to a hue curve again and set the
mode to animated points so in that case
if I now that advanced 50 frames I could
move this value a little bit affecting
her shirt and then let's go to my blue
and actually add a bit more there and
maybe take a bit more from the greenish
areas as well and then you see that we
have a nice animation there in our
correction curves so right the shoe
curves tool is a very intuitive very
straightforward tool for your color
