Transparent or Opacity in iMovie 10.0.2 | Tutorial 29 Video Lecture | iMovie Mac: Basics to Advanced - Professional Skills

to nono films today we're gonna be
continuing our iMovie tutorials and for
this tutorial it's actually be something
really quick because I had somebody
comment and ask me how do you do
transparencies or uh I don't know people
tell me that opacity I don't know if I'm
saying that correctly I hope I am a-- is
the opposite of transparency so i'm
hoping this is solves your answer and
i'm hoping i show you can show you the
right thing here but we're basically
wondering I believe it was is you wanted
an image that you put on top making like
visible through making so you can see
through the image itself so what we're
going to do is going to make this our
the second image which we have on top
here just going to be my second image
and I'm gonna make it so it's like it
looks like this like you can barely see
it through so the way you do that is
going to go to adjustments of course or
well first of all like I guess I can
start from scat scratches you're just
going to grab grab it and drag drag it
on top of your main project an image
which is what we did here and we have
our image and then now you can see it's
up to up top up here and I cropped it so
that I actually get the entire image
it's a PNG file so that means over round
it's going to be gone and it's only
going to be just this here
that's that's what PNG images are that's
why I only have this even though in the
cropping it looks all black but you're
only going to get the main footage here
so here we have this and when I go I'm
gonna go to where we would do our
picture in picture and under picture in
picture we're going to go to let me see
this oh good actually under cutaway
that's the one we want to do yeah not
picture and picture picture in picture
doesn't have that option it's going to
be a under cutaway here then go under
cutaway and you can I want to go down to
opacity and you're going to change it to
really really low and I can see that the
image is slowly going away basically now
the only thing that's really weird about
this is that I can't actually move it
around now I can't move it somewhere
else so you basically have it have have
to have it centered already as it is
when before you place it down as you can
see here but yet here's this is the
transparency or opacity people
tell me that help acity is the opposite
of transparency so I'm hoping I'm
answering your question here and I just

that is through cutaway end up where you
would do your picture and picture and
