Audio Skimming in iMovie 10.0.7 | Tutorial 68 Video Lecture | iMovie Mac: Basics to Advanced - Professional Skills

to North films today we are going to
continue our iMovie tutorials and let's
begin by opening up iMovie and in this
tour actually going to cover audio
skimming and how to enable that um out
of default when you first open iMovie
audio skimming is not enabled what audio
skimming is is when you drag over a clip
like this the audio clip behind in when
that clip will actually play and for
example mine is not enabled the end and
nor does it play in the actual project
itself like if you're an event you can
simply skim the audio and you'll be able
to hear it in the background so the way
you enable it is to go to the very top
of your screen it says where it says
iMovie file edit mark modify view now go
to view and we will go all the way down
to audio skimming simply click on that
hit audio skimming and I will enable the
audio skim you'll now see a checkbox
next to it now if we go over a clip just
like that drag over a clip you'll be
able to hear the audio and you're
basically skimming the audio and most
people actually find this quite useful
but I haven't actually used it I don't
wait the best way I find to skim audios
by simply hitting the play button and
then I can hear the audio also the main
reason it sounds so weird like that is
because I do have it zoom then you can
adjust zoom in and make it ten seconds
or two seconds that way can when you
skim over it sounds like real time and
you can play around with that as well to
see how you how you want it as well also
in your project you can skim it now as
well
and there you guys are

back and disable mine under view and
