hey guys ampere bringing you another
affinity photo tutorial and in this
tutorial I'll be showing you how to
create a border around your image now
the first thing you need to do is
obviously get your image and you're
gonna make sure snapping is on up here
then you're gonna make sure that
whatever you have here is flattened and
you have a single layer that you're
acting upon to make an effective border
now to make a border you can make
borders in all of these shapes but I'm
just going to use a rectangle tool for
right now and I'm gonna come over here
with the rectangle tool and I'm just
gonna make a crude rectangle and even
let's just make a panorama border right
here and then you know take this
rectangle and you're going to move it
directly to the right so that this
little blue rectangle appears and makes
these lines right here now since these
don't show up in a background the next
thing you're gonna have to do is you're
going to have to create a new fill layer
now this allows you to change the color
and add effects to it and you're gonna
have to drag this underneath it and now
it is behind it so after you do this you
can now edit whatever color you want as
well as you can change the effects so
you can add this sort of blur effect and
you can play with outer shadow and you
can play with all these different
effects and styles and adjustments that
you would normally for a shape or a
border so this is how you create just a
