1. What is gravity?

Ans. Gravity is a force that attracts objects towards each other. It is responsible for keeping the planets in orbit around the sun and objects on Earth from floating away.

Ans. Gravity works by the principle of mass attracting mass. The more massive an object is, the stronger its gravitational pull. The force of gravity decreases with distance, so objects that are closer together experience a stronger gravitational force.

3. Who discovered gravity?

Ans. The concept of gravity was first described by Sir Isaac Newton in the late 17th century. Newton's law of universal gravitation states that every particle attracts every other particle with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

4. Can gravity be turned off or reversed?

Ans. Gravity is a fundamental force of nature and cannot be turned off or reversed. It is always present and acts on all objects with mass. However, the effects of gravity can be counteracted or overcome by other forces, such as the thrust of a rocket or the lift of an airplane.

5. How does gravity affect time?

Ans. According to Einstein's theory of general relativity, gravity can affect the passage of time. In the presence of a strong gravitational field, time appears to run slower compared to a weaker gravitational field. This phenomenon, known as gravitational time dilation, has been observed and verified through various experiments and observations.
