hello ribbon and welcome to this chapter
15 and which we are going to discuss
mainly about visualizing the solid
shapes that is going to be the main
focus in this chapter so now that is
quickly go over the agenda or the topics
that are going to be covered so first we
will be discussing about what are
playing figures and what are solid
shapes and will also figure out what I
mean when when we say plain figures they
imply two dimensions we will understand
what these two dimensions are and we
also understand what do we mean by three
dimensions with respect to the solid
shapes so this is just to get us started
on the discussion for that then we
discuss in detail the phases the edges
and the vertices of the solid shapes in
which we will define the three terms for
a solid shape and will take in some
examples for a few solid shapes then we
discuss an important concept all next
for three dimensional sets in this we
will first define what do we mean by a
net and then we will be coming up with
examples of nets for various solid
shapes that we the first part and then
we continue our journey into visualizing
the solid shapes further by you know
working on the methods to draw solids on
the flat surfaces so in this we are
going to mainly discuss about two
methods the first one is oblique
sketches what do we mean by your big
sketches and then we also discuss the
isometric sketches and both of these
methods I will provide you the
definition and we'll also take through a
example for both of these methods then
we discuss the differences between the
ugly
and the isometric methods once we are
done with this discussion we move on to
actually visualizing solid objects
taking the scenarios in which not all
the sides are visible that is we can see
a particular part of a shape and then
some of them are not visible in that
scenario how do we go and find out the
how to visualize the complete solid
object and then finally we discuss the
methods to view different sections of
the solid in this way we mainly focusing
on three methods the first one is
cutting to view the cross-sections the
other one is the shadow method and the
third one is trying to look at a shape
from different angles so this is what is
going to be our discussion for this
chapter and so this was the introduction
