well I didn't make it cat videos
basically you know my whole life the
first video that I uploaded to the
Internet was in 1994 and that
essentially started what we know is

flesh them out storyboards animatics /

the script was pretty light so we
brought in some cat bite choreographers
to work out the action no animals harmed
this is my dream job this is something
that I've always wanted to do keyboard

development for quite a while people

to stage so we worked out these 3d
animatics to help sell the idea I'm from

which prior to acquisition was known as
Industrial Light and Magic
we are the visual effects department
which means that we end up doing a lot
of background replacement sometimes we
do full character creation like with oMG

an animation test by one of our interns
we didn't end up hiring him people
sometimes ask if all our kittens are CGI
stupid no a lot of the times are
actually puppets I'm on the cat with
sleeping kitten surprised kitty cute
dreaming cat all puppets a little-known
fact but kittens cannot actually dream
that's just part of the movie magic what
you see here today is a gigantic kitty
cat Empire but before it was all this it
was just the vision of one man cat
videos not only changed the way that we
look at cats and the way that we use our
computers but the way that we use our
computers to look at cats perfect in the
last fiscal quarter

I always knew it the the first time I
took a look at the internet I said the
future of the Internet his cats and this
was the first time I looked at the
Internet I don't even know what it was
I mean go all the way back to the
Egyptians right some of the earliest
forms of narratives you'll get the
hieroglyphics I fell with cats they
brought us cat as a narrative I'd like
to think that we're continuing that here
