that the human body is as much as 60%
water this is true because cytosol
inside cells is made mostly of water it
is because the cytoplasm is mostly made
of water that it doesn't provide very
much support to the structure of the
cell in the human body our skeleton of
bones provides us with structure and
support in the cell a structure called
the cytoskeleton serves the same purpose
the cytoskeleton is made up of fibers
and threads made of proteins that give
the cell its shape organize the inside
of cells and allow some cells to move
from place to place the largest of the
fibers found in the cell microtubules
are used by some cells to form tiny
thread-like structures called flagella
and cilia these tiny structures can be
used for cell movement within the
cytoskeleton microtubules also organize
the inside of the cell microtubules are
like the rafters of a building they
provide support and organization to the
interior of the cell covering just about
every part of the cell other than the
things inside the nuclear envelope the
