are talking about sound a very common
word that comes to picture is boys
because noise is something which is also
a sound but we often use this term for
undesirable situations so what our snow
is it is nothing but undesired high
level of sound so with the sound this is
like very high or very high volume at
the same climate it is not very pleasant
to hear so they that is termed as noise
so some of the examples of noise are
shown on the screen for example
unnecessary honking of vehicles on the
road so do you think that context of
course just consider two scenarios in
the first scenario yes sitting inside
your car and you are enjoying a music
which is being tailored inside your car
so in that case how many things you will
feel happy and pleasant nice in the

your car but this time there is no news
of being played in your car
or even if some music is being played in
your car you are constantly being
wronged by the vehicles which is present
around you so will you enjoy the honking

type of sound which is not desirable
they tend to irritate you they tend to

of undesired sound is termed as noise
though there are other examples for
example say the bursting of crackers so
in burst crackers a very large volume of
sound is produced and that is also
undesired to some extent the the sound
of the aeroplanes while taking off that
is also a very high volume of sound the
band sound when doing managers or
you will often see that a big crowd with
people they tend to play too loud music
music is again something which is also a
sound but that is pleasant to our ears
but sometimes music can also become a
noise for example in many of the disco
pegs or nightclubs you've never seen
that deeply since using a cup in a very
large bottle now that that feels
enjoying only up to a certain period of
time but after that they might damage
your ears as well so these kind of sound
is it becomes voice and there are many
harmful effects associated with noise
let us look at some of them they can
cause permanent hearing loss because as
I said that we are able to hear stops
because of our tear and which is the
most important part inside out here it
is the eardrum so now if you are exposed
to very loud sound for a very long
period of time there are chances of the
eardrum getting damaged which can lead
to hearing loss heart problems because
so much of noise and also impact got
your Android even has a connection with
your brain and your brain in turn
controls the different organs of your
body so extreme noise can make you feel
restless which in turn can cause several
problems noise can also called
sleeplessness now when you have such a
loud music being played in your
surrounding do you think that you'll be
able to get a peaceful sleep sometimes
you are not able to sleep at all and
lack of sleep can make you feel inactive
it can actually affect the metabolism of
your body and it can affect your health
stress now let us suppose you are not
feeling well maybe you are down with
fever or you got a cold or a sore throat
or something of that sort and on top of
that you your locality is full of
unnecessary noise like maybe the noise
of
traffic or the noise of a construction
going near by your house or maybe the
noise from a nightclub so these kind of
noise will make you feel all the more
stressed now when your stress level
increases the overall functioning of the
body gets adversely affected now because
of so many harmful effects of noise we
have come up with the term called noise
pollution like we all know what is
pollution contamination of air water or
soil with undesirable components is
called collision so we have learnt about
air pollution we know water pollution we
know soil pollution similarly we have
noise pollution
this means presence of unwanted noise in
your surroundings so presence of
excessive undesired noise in the
surroundings is called Voyles pollution
so that that is when we see that be the
environment is full of noise pollution
too much of unnecessary noise so on such
example could be a construction work
going somewhere so that entire locality
will have a lot of noise pollution
because when construction goes on a lot
of machineries produce a lot of sound
you also have sound of drilling you have
too many laborers working at the same
place so a lot of noises come into
picture
similarly the noise of the traffic when
you have a bad traffic during the office
hours so the vehicles tend to talk
unnecessarily on each other and that
also produce noise pollution now since
we saw the harmful effects of noise we
should actually take some measures to
control noise pollution so what are the
things that we can do from our end to
control noise one is limit vehicle speed
now when the vehicles are like traveling
too fast what happens is everybody is in
a hurry so everybody's and this is
really honking each other and creating
noise pollution so the speed of the
vehicle should be limited avoid
unnecessary honking they should not honk
without a specific need use of quieter
engines in aircraft because these air

they actually produce so much of minds
that they can very easily cause
temporary hearing loss in people that is
why you would have seen that the
airports are generally constructed a
little away from them residential areas
of the cities so if we can replace the
engines with some wider engines then
during the take-off or landing the sound
produced will be lesser use of sound
absorbent materials in industries in
industries and factors there are a lot
of huge machineries and they produce a
lot of sound when they function so if
you can begin the use of some sound
absorbent materials like if we can make
use of materials like curtains or the
glass fibers which can absorb sound so
that the sound which are produced inside
the industry is remain confined within
the industries and you do not call use
the surrounding areas

especially during festivals like New
Year or Diwali a lot of people they
about lot of crackers and these days we
have so many fancy crackers which keep
bursting for a couple of minutes so you
actually have such loud sounds or such
lawyers for a couple of minutes
continuously now especially burning of
crackers should be strictly banned after
a certain time time at night because
sometimes it is seen that in some
localities people tend to burn crackers
at the entire night so others residing
in the same locality will not be able to
see properly and it will bother their
daily routine so that that we's crackers
should the use of crackers should also
be limited limit the time in area beyond
which loudspeakers should not be played
now by tying because like mostly
everybody will want a peaceful night so
that they are able to sleep properly and
get energized for the next day therefore
no loud music called out because should
be allowed to be played at night now in
most of the cities in India these days
we have set a time limit of 1100
at night so beyond that people are not
allowed to play loud speakers are any
loud music in any form and also the area
should be restricted for example the
areas which are near to hospitals or
schools so where children are there or
where say patients we need a lot of care
it is suppose there is a hospital where
a patient has recently undergone a heart
surgery so now the patient needs a lot
of rest please care now if somebody is
playing loudspeakers or bursting
crackers in the vicinity of that
hospital do you think that the patient
would feel comfortable of course not
because the patient needs please so
therefore the area where now music
should not be allowed that should also
be fixed so these are some of the things
