All questions of Sampling Theorem for Electrical Engineering (EE) Exam

If x(t) = t,u(t) (Ramp) and h(t) = δ(t) - δ(t - 1) , find y(t) .
  • a)
    tu(t) - (t - 1)u(t - 1)
  • b)
    u(t) - u(t - 1)
  • c)
    t[u(t) - u(t - 1)]
  • d)
    rect(t - 0.5)
Correct answer is option 'A'. Can you explain this answer?

Engineers Adda answered
Concept: Distributive property.
Calculation:
y(t) = x(t) * δ(t) - δ(t - 1)] .
y(t) = [x(t) * δ(t)] - [x(t) * δ(t -t - 1)] .
y(t) = x(t) - x(t - 1) .
Substitute x(t) = tu(t) .
y(t) = tu(t) - (t - 1)u(t - 1) .
