Stop watch is used to measure exact time during an event like race.

Pendulum of a given length always takes equal times in one oscillation called time period of the pendulum.

Time taken to complete one vibration is called time-period. Time period is reciprocal of frequency.

An odometer or odograph is an instrument used for measuring the distance travelled by a vehicle, such as a bicycle or car. The device may be electronic, mechanical, or a combination of the two. Early forms of the odometer existed in the ancient Greco-Roman world as well as ancient China. In countries where Imperial units or US customary units are used, it is sometimes called a mileometer or milometer, the former name especially being prevalent in the United Kingdom and members of the Commonwealth.

Speed is a scalar quantity but velocity is vector quantity because velocity has both magnitude and direction.

In a distance-time graph slope represents the speed of the body and particular interval of time.

Stop watch is used to measure short interval of time duration involving any event.

Distance travelled is equal to product of speed and time. So, distance travelled = speed × time.

Quartz is used in crystal form in watch that gives very accurate time.

When a body covers equal distance in equal interval of time, the speed of the body is called as uniform motion.

Total distance covered by a body in unit interval of time in particular direction is called velocity.

A bullet fired from the gun exhibits translational motion. Translational Motion is a type of motion in which the body and every constituent particle move along a straight line with identical velocity in a particular direction (x, y or z). It is also known as linear motion.

To and from movement of a body is called as oscillatory motion.

Speedometer is fitted on dashboard of car measures the speed of car at particular moment of time.

When the motion of the object is not along a fixed path with changing direction, the motion of body is random motion.
