Believed to be around 2,500 years old, General Sherman is the mightiest giant sequoia still standing. The volume of its trunk alone makes it the largest non-clonal tree by volume. Sherman can be found in Sequoia National Park in California, where five of the 10 largest trees in the world exist.

Quiver trees (Aloe dichotoma) also known as kokerboom are species of aloe indigenous to South Africa, specifically in the Northern Cape region and Namibia. The tree is known as Quiver tree because branches and bark of the tree are used by Kalahari San Bushmen to make quivers for their arrows, hence the name.

Arboriculture is the cultivation of trees, shrubs, and other woody plants for shading and decoration. Arboriculture includes propagating, transplanting, pruning, applying fertiliser, spraying to control insects, etc.
