The sun is a star, a hot ball of glowing gases at the heart of our solar system. Its influence extends far beyond the orbits of distant Neptune and Pluto.

An asteroid is a minor planet of the inner Solar System. 

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and has the third-largest diameter in our solar system. It was the first planet found with the aid of a telescope, Uranus was discovered in 1781 by astronomer William Herschel, although he originally thought it was either a comet or a star.

The Earth orbits around the sun in 365.25 days, which is slightly longer than 365(1/4) days. This period of orbit is called the sidereal year, and it is the length of time it takes the Earth to complete one orbit around the sun relative to the fixed stars.

The moon, on the other hand, does not orbit the sun directly. Instead, it orbits the Earth, which in turn orbits the sun. The period of the moon's orbit around the Earth is called the lunar month, and it is approximately 29.5 days long. This means that the moon does not orbit the sun in 365(1/4) days.

• Venus is the second planet near the sun, and it has a temperature that is kept at 462 degrees Celsius.
• Venus has a very dense carbon dioxide atmosphere. Energy does not escape back into the environment because of this kind of environment.
• The atmosphere of Venus is about 96 percent carbon dioxide, with surface temperatures around 737 K (464 °C, or 867 °F).
• Venus itself rotates only once every 243 Earth days.

The revolution of the Earth around the Sun on a tilted axis

An astronomer is a scientist who studies celestial bodies such as moons, planets, stars, nebulae, and galaxies.

An astronomer needs a telescope to see distant objects like planets and galaxies which are far off in the universe. 

Sun is the center of the solar system. Although, earlier it was believed that Earth forms the center of the solar system. However, after studies conducted by scientists it was proved that sun is at the center of the universe and all celestial bodies revolve around the sun.
