Chlorophyll is found in the thylakoid sacs of the chloroplast. The chloroplast is a specialized part of the cell that functions as an organelle. Once the appropriate wavelengths of light are absorbed by the chlorophyll into the thylakoid sacs, the important process of photosynthesis is able to begin.

During photosynthesis carbon dioxide gas is taken and oxygen gas is released along with glucose and water.

During photosynthesis solar energy is converted into chemical energy using solar energy, carbohydrates and water. The energy stored in food is chemical energy.

Amarbel (Cuscuta) is an example of parasite. It does not have chlorophyll. It gets readymade food from the plant on which it is climbing.

The process in which green plants prepare their food using solar energy, carbon dioxide and water. The main product of photosynthesis is carbohydrates.
