The age at which boys and girls start producing gametes is called puberty. A number of changes take place in body at puberty.

The right meals for adolescents include chapatti, dal, Vegetable etc. The meal should provide carbohydrates, proteins and fats along with vitamins for proper growth and development.

Puberty starts early in girls in comparison to boys of same age. In girls it start at the age of around 12-13 years.

Deficiency of insulin hormone cause diabetes. Insulin converts the excess sugar in blood into glycogen to lower the sugar level in blood.

Adolescence is another term for teenage. The age between 12-19 years is called as teenage. During these period many physiological changes takes place in body.

 Adolescence begins around the age of 11 and lasts upto 18 or 19 years of age.
Researchers suggest adolescence undergo three primary developmental stages of adolescence and young adulthood --early adolescence( 10 -14 ), middle adolescence (15 - 17 ), and late adolescence/young adulthood (18 - 24).

The glands without ducts are called ductless gland. Endocrine glands are ductless gland as they deliver the hormone to target site through blood.

Insulin hormone is released by pancreas. Insulin controls the sugar level in blood to avoid high blood pressure and heart disease.

Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes, 22 pairs of numbered chromosomes, called Autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes.

Oestrogen is one of the main female sex harmones. While both women and men produce oestrogen, it plays a bigger role in women's bodies. Oestrogen is produced by your harmonal system and moves through the bloodstream.
