1.3 Teams and Groups
How is a team different from a group? Even a group consists of individuals who have
common characteristics. However, they may or may not be tied to a common goal or
objective. It is an important aspect that differentiates a ‘Team’ from a ‘Group’.
Let’s take an example of a team you form while playing a sport such as football. All
the team members are driven by the common goal of winning against the other team.
