Periodic Motion
When a body repeats its motion continuously on a definite path in a definite interval 
of time then its motion is called periodic motion and the interval of time is called 
time period T.

of time then its motion is called periodic motion and the interval of time is called 
time period T.
Oscillatory motion
If a body in periodic motion moves along the same path to and fro about a definite 
point (equilibrium position), then the motion of the body is a vibratory motion or 
oscillatory motion
Note: Resultant force acting on the particle is zero in equilibrium condition.
