Plant Tissues
Plant tissues are diverse and consist of various types of
cells that differ from animal tissues in several ways.
There are two main categories of plant tissues:
1.Meristematic Tissues:
These tissues are primarily
composed of rapidly
dividing cells and are
responsible for the growth
of the plant. They are found
in regions of the plant
where growth occurs.
2.Permanent Tissues:
 Permanent tissues develop from
meristematic tissues and have
specific structural and functional
properties. They can be composed of
either living or dead cells and are
specialized to perform particular
functions. Permanent tissues are
further divided into simple and
complex permanent tissues.
