Section 86:Punishment for contravention
As per Section 142 of Companies Act 
1956
As per Section 86 of Companies Act 
2013
1) Penalty was upto five thousand 
rupees for every day during which the 
default continues.
1)
Minimum : 1,00,000(one lakh rupee) 
Maximum : 10,00,000(ten lakh rupees )
every officer of the company who is in 
default shall be punishable with 
Imprisonment for a term which may 
extend to six months or with fine which 
shall not be less than twenty-five 
thousand rupees but which may extend 
to one lakh rupees, or with both
