March or April. Non-essential lights and other
electrical appliances are turned off for one hour
between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm local time.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) organised the
first Earth Hour in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since
then, it has become a global movement, with millions of
people participating every year.
