Cultivation) is one of the oldest type of cultivation
practises in India. It is majorly practised in
North-Eastern states of India like Mizoram and
Nagaland.
The land is not ploughed, but shallow trenches are
made in the soil, in which the seeds are sown. After
obtaining one set of crops, the land is left as it is for
some years.
