Long and Short
Summary
Measurement: It is finding a number that shows the size or amount of
something. We can measure many different things but mostly we measure
length, area, etc.
For example:
 A B C D
  5 cm 6 cm
Length of AB = 5 cm and Length of CD = 6 cm
Here line segment CD is bigger than line segment AB.
Conversions:
It is the change between different units of measurement for the same
quantity, typically through multiplicative conversion factor. For example:

1 Kilometre = 1000 metre
1 metre = 100 centimetre
1 Kilometre = 1,00,000 centimetre
1 decimetre = 10 centimetre
