Gone with the Scooter
The Discovery
One hot afternoon, 
Gopi was reading in 
the veranda when he 
heard a sound in the 
garden.
He searched near the 
fence and bushes, and 
finally found a white 
hockey ball on dry 
leaves.
Curious, he picked it 
up and wondered who 
it might belong to.
The Search
Gopi Checked the 
garden and outside the 
gate, but found no 
one. His mother then 
called him inside.
While resting, he 
decided not to keep 
the ball without finding 
the owner.
In the evening, he went 
to the playground 
where his friends 
played hockey, hoping 
someone would 
recognise it.
The Friends
Gopi asked his friends 
if the ball was theirs. 
Manoj said he had lost 
his ball long ago, 
Ramani claimed it 
might be his but 
couldn't describe it, 
and Deepak talked 
about his football 
instead.
The friends laughed, 
passed the hockey ball 
around, and decided to 
play a quick match 
before it got dark.
The Surprise Ending
During the game, Jay 
hit the ball so hard that 
it flew out of the 
playground.
The ball landed in the 
basket of a passing 
scooter, and the rider 
unknowingly drove 
away with it.
The children ran after 
the scooter but 
couldn't catch it.
Even though the ball 
was gone, they
