Parietal cells of gastric glands are indirectly involved in Erythropoiesis.
Erythropoiesis is formation of RBC’S; i.e. Erythrocytes. For this to occur, Vitamin B 12 is also required. It acts as maturation factor. Intrinsic factor of castle is produced in gastic mucosa by the parietal cells of gastric glands which is essential for absorption of Vitamin B 12 from intestine. In absence of this factor, Vitamin B 12 will not be absorbed from intestine which leads to pernicious anaemia.
Hence parietal cells are the gastric cells which are indirectly involved in Erythropoiesis
