Given Information:


  • Cost of coffee per kg = Rs 250

  • Cost of chicory per kg = Rs 75

  • Mixture ratio of coffee and chicory = 5:2

  • Selling price of mixture per kg = Rs 230



Calculation of Cost of Mixture:

Let's assume that we take 5 kg of coffee and 2 kg of chicory to make the mixture. Then, the cost of the mixture would be:



  • Cost of 5 kg coffee = 5 x Rs 250 = Rs 1250

  • Cost of 2 kg chicory = 2 x Rs 75 = Rs 150

  • Total cost of mixture = Rs 1250 + Rs 150 = Rs 1400

  • Cost of 1 kg mixture = Rs 1400/7 = Rs 200



Calculation of Profit or Loss:



  • Selling price of 1 kg mixture = Rs 230

  • Profit or loss per kg = Selling price - Cost price

  • Profit or loss per kg = Rs 230 - Rs 200 = Rs 30
