∵ The ratio between milk and water mixture is 7:2
∴ Let the milk and water be 7a ml and 2a ml
Total volume of mixture = 729 ml
⇒ 9a = 729
⇒ a = 81 ml
∴ Volume of water = 2a = 162 ml
Volume of milk = 567 ml
Let the volume of water to be added be w ml.
New ratio = 7 : 3
∴ 567162+w=73∴567162+w=73
⇒ 1701 = 1134 + 7w
⇒ w = 81 ml
