Let, the bigger number = x and the smaller number = y
According to problem,
⇒ x - y = 5      ----(1)
According to problem,
⇒ x2 - y2 = 235
⇒ (x - y)(x + y) =235      ----(2)
From (1) and (2) we get,
⇒ x + y = 235/5
⇒ x + y = 47      ----(3)
From (3) - (1) we get,
⇒ 2y = 47 - 5
⇒ y = 21
∴ The smaller number = 21

To solve this problem, let's assume the two numbers as x and y, where x is the smaller number. According to the given information:

1. The difference of two numbers is 5:
x - y = 5

2. The difference of their squares is 235:
x^2 - y^2 = 235

We can use these two equations to solve for x and y.
