Answer the following question based on the information given below.Eig...
Let us denote all delegates by the initial letters of their names.
As V and W sit opposite each other, neither at the extreme ends of the table nor at the shorter sides, we can say that they sit on the centre chairs on the longer sides.
R sits to the right of T and opposite P, who sits in the same row as V and S, Also T is seated in a single seat on one of the shorter sides.
U is to the immediate left of K.
∴ We have:
 ∴ Sumit sits opposite Udgam.
Hence, option 3.

To determine who sits opposite Udgam, let's analyze the given information step by step.

1. **Vishal and Woin sit opposite each other**: This means that Vishal and Woin are seated on the longer sides of the rectangular table, but not at the extreme ends or the shorter sides.

2. **Tushar is the head of the conference**: Tushar is seated in a single seat on one of the smaller sides of the table, opposite to another leading delegate.

3. **Udgam sits to the immediate left of Kiran**: Udgam and Kiran are seated next to each other, but not on the same side of the table.

4. **Pranay is in the same row as Vishal and Sumit**: Pranay, Vishal, and Sumit are seated in the same row.

5. **Rahul is sitting opposite Pranay and to the immediate right of Tushar**: Rahul is seated in a position where he is directly facing Pranay, and he is to the immediate right of Tushar.

Based on the given information, we can deduce the following:

- Since Tushar is the head of the conference and seated opposite another leading delegate, he cannot be sitting opposite Udgam.

- Rahul is sitting opposite Pranay and to the immediate right of Tushar, so Rahul cannot be sitting opposite Udgam.

- Udgam sits to the immediate left of Kiran, so Udgam cannot be sitting opposite Kiran.

Therefore, the only remaining option is that Udgam sits opposite **Sumit**.

Hence, the correct answer is option **C) Sumit**.
