Most Upvoted Answer
Two trains each of length 50 m, are approaching each other on parallel...
Solution: Crossing of Two Trains

Given

- Length of each train = 50 m
- Velocities of two trains = 10 m/s and 15 m/s

Approach

- Find the relative velocity of two trains
- Calculate the time taken to cross each other

Calculation

- Relative velocity of two trains = (10 + 15) m/s = 25 m/s
- Distance to be covered to cross each other = 50 m + 50 m = 100 m
- Time taken to cross each other = Distance / Relative velocity = 100 / 25 = 4 seconds

Answer

- The two trains will cross each other in 4 seconds.
