Area at section 1 (A1) = 0.5 m2
Velocity at section 1 (V1) = 3 m/s
Density at section 2 (ρ2) = 0.75 kg/m3
Area at section 2 (A2) = 1.0 m2

To find:
Velocity at section 2 (V2)

Formula used:

Continuity equation: A1V1 = A2V2

Solution:
Using the continuity equation,

A1V1 = A2V2

0.5 x 3 = 1.0 x V2

V2 = 1.5 m/s

Therefore, the velocity at section 2 is 1.5 m/s.

Hence, option (B) is the correct answer.
