We are given that
p # q = (p+ q)2 and
p $ q = (p – q)2
 
To calculate the value of the whole expression, we need to calculate the values of the individual expressions:
(2 # 2) = (2 + 2)2 = 42 = 16
(3 $ 3)  = (3 – 3)2 = 0
(5 # 5) = (5 + 5)2 = 100
(6 $ 6) = (6 – 6)2 = 0
So,
(2 # 2) + (3 $ 3) – (5 # 5) + (6 $ 6) = 16 – 0 – 100 – 0 = -84  
Answer: Option (A)
