The annual incomes of two persons are in the ratio 9 : 7 and their exp...
Let their incomes be 9x and 7x whereas their expenses be 4y and 3y respectively
Saving = Income – Expenses
⇒ 2000 = 9x – 4y ---- 1
⇒ 2000 = 7x – 3y ---- 2
Comparing both the equations
⇒ 9x – 4y = 7x – 3y
⇒ 2x = y
Substituting value of y in first equation
⇒ 2000 = 9x – 4 × 2x
⇒ x = 2000
∴ Difference in their annual income = 9x – 7x = 2x = 4000
