If two tangents inclined at 60° are drawn to a circle of radius 3 ...

In the figure;
Two tangents OP and OQ inclined at 60° are drawn, they will make 90° angle with centre;
Given, Radius of the circle = PC = QC = 3 cm;
In ΔOCP;
tan 30° = PC/OP
⇒ 1/√3 = 3/OP
⇒ OP = 3√3 cm
Similarly OQ = 3√3 cm
∴ Length of each tangent = 3√3 cm
