There are four trees - lemon, coconut, mango and neem - each at a diff...
Given information:
- Four trees - lemon, coconut, mango and neem - each at a different corner of a rectangular plot.
- A well is located at one corner and a cabin at another corner.
- The lemon and coconut trees are on either side of the gate which is located at the center of the side opposite to the side at whose extremes, the well and the cabin are located.
- The mango tree is not at the corner where the cabin is located.
- The coconut tree and the neem tree cannot be at adjacent corners of the plot.

To find:
Which of the following trees will necessarily have to be at diagonally opposite corners of the plot if the coconut tree and the neem tree cannot be at adjacent corners of the plot.

Solution:
- Let's assume that the rectangular plot is ABCD, where A and B are the corners where lemon and coconut trees are located.
- The gate is located at the center of CD.
- So, the cabin and well must be at corners A and C or B and D.
- Let's assume that the cabin is at corner A and the well is at corner C.
- So, the mango tree cannot be at corner A.
- Therefore, the mango tree must be at corner D.
- Now, the only remaining corner for the neem tree is B.
- But, the coconut tree and the neem tree cannot be at adjacent corners.
- Hence, the neem tree cannot be at corner C.
- Therefore, the neem tree must be at corner D.
- Thus, the lemon tree must be at corner C.
- Therefore, the lemon tree and the well will necessarily have to be at diagonally opposite corners of the plot.

Answer: Option D. Lemon tree and well.
