Indrani Debi was the wife of Sir Asutosh Mukherjee, the founder of the National Council of Education, Bengal. She was also the mother of Sudhi Ranjan Das, a prominent lawyer and politician in India.

Indrani Debi was born in 1883 to a wealthy family in Calcutta. Her father, Nandalal Ghosh, was a prominent lawyer and her mother, Sarala Devi, was a social reformer and a member of the Theosophical Society. Indrani Debi was educated at home by private tutors and married Sir Asutosh Mukherjee in 1901, at the age of 18.
