In triangle ADC;
Tanα = H/AD
⇒ AD = H/tanα
In triangle BDC;
Tanβ = H/BD
⇒ BD = H/tanβ
We know that distance between A and B is 1 km;
∴ AB = 1
⇒ AD + BD = 1
⇒ H/tanα + H/tanβ = 1
⇒ H(1/tanα + 1/tanβ) = 1

∴ Height of the aeroplane above the road
