Line Segment and Ray

Line Segment:
A line segment is a part of a line that consists of two endpoints and all the points between them. It has a definite length and can be measured. A line segment can be drawn using a ruler and is represented by a straight line with two endpoints marked with small dots.

Ray:
A ray is a part of a line that has one endpoint and extends infinitely in one direction. It can be thought of as starting at a point and going on forever in one direction. A ray cannot be measured in length since it extends infinitely.
