In 23 june 1757 the battle of plassey was fought between siraj-u-dullah and Robert Clive the main reason was that the britishers were not paying taxes they were supposed to and built forts they were prohibiting from. the britishers even tried to play a part in the politics of siraj-u-dullah. this infuriated the emperor even more and was the start of the battle.
