Consequences of the Battle of Buxar
- The British East India Company emerged victorious in the Battle of Buxar, which led to the establishment of British rule in India.
- The Treaty of Allahabad was signed in 1765, under which the East India Company was granted the Diwani rights, allowing them to collect revenue from Bengal, Bihar, and Orissa.
- The battle marked the weakening of the Mughal Empire, which was already in decline.
- The defeat of Mir Qasim, who had initially supported the British, led to his exile and the end of independent rule in Bengal.
- The victory of the British in the Battle of Buxar further strengthened their position in India and paved the way for their eventual control over the entire subcontinent.

On 22 october 1764 the battle of buxar was fought. after the war Robert Clive became the first governor general of Bengal , and the rule of britishers just became more powerful. the battle was fought between the britishers and the combined forces of mir qasim and the forces of Shah alam II . after mir qasim lost he was banished from bengal
