Verified Answer
A receives 7/15thof the total profit and remaining is divided between ...
GIVEN:
A = 7/15 × Total profit
Ratio of B and C = 1 : 3
Share of A - Share of C = Rs. 2000
CALCULATION:
Let total profit = Rs. 15x
⇒ A’s share in profit = (7/15) × 15x = 7x
Remaining profit = 8x
⇒ B’s share = (1/4) × 8x = 2x
⇒ C’s share = (3/4) × 8x = 6x
According to the question,
⇒ A’s profit - C’s profit = 2000
⇒ 7x - 6x = 2000
⇒ x = 2000
∴ B’s share = 2x = 2 × 2000 = Rs. 4000
