A contractor undertook to do a work in 60 days and employed 30 men to ...
GIVEN:
A contractor undertook to do a work in 60 days and employed 30 men to do it.
After 45 days he found that only 3/5th of the work was done
FORMULA USED:
(M1D1)/(W1) = (M2D2)/(W2
CALCULATION:
(45 × 30)/(3/5) = (M2 ×15)/(2/5)
M2 = (5 × 45 × 30 × 2)/(15 × 5 × 3)  = 60 men
Required men = 60 – 30 = 30 men
