Explain Kepler's law of planetary motion. Also state what do you mean from elliptical orbit?
Most Upvoted Answer
Explain Kepler's law of planetary motion. Also state what do you mean ...
Kepler's law of planetary motion:

Kepler's law of planetary motion is a set of three laws that describe the motion of planets around the sun. These laws were proposed by the German astronomer Johannes Kepler in the early 17th century. This law is also known as Kepler's laws of planetary motion. The three laws are:

1. Law of elliptical orbits
2. Law of equal areas
3. Law of harmonies

Elliptical orbit:

An elliptical orbit is a type of orbit in which an object moves around another object in a path that is shaped like an ellipse. An ellipse is a stretched-out circle that has two points called foci. In an elliptical orbit, the object that is being orbited is located at one of the foci of the ellipse. The other focus is empty. The distance between the two foci is the major axis of the ellipse, and half of this distance is the semi-major axis.

Kepler's first law - Law of elliptical orbits:

Kepler's first law states that the planets move around the sun in elliptical orbits, with the sun located at one of the foci of the ellipse. The other focus is empty. The shape of the ellipse is not a perfect circle, but it is almost circular. The orbit of a planet is not perfectly circular because of the gravitational forces from other planets and other objects in the solar system.

The eccentricity of an ellipse is a measure of how stretched out it is. If the eccentricity is 0, the ellipse is a perfect circle. If the eccentricity is 1, the ellipse becomes a straight line. The eccentricity of the orbits of the planets in our solar system is very small, which means that their orbits are almost circular.

Conclusion:

Kepler's law of planetary motion is a set of three laws that describe the motion of planets around the sun. The first law is the law of elliptical orbits, which states that the planets move around the sun in elliptical orbits, with the sun located at one of the foci of the ellipse. An elliptical orbit is a type of orbit in which an object moves around another object in a path that is shaped like an ellipse. An ellipse is a stretched-out circle that has two points called foci.

Explain Kepler's law of planetary motion. Also state what do you mean ...
The planet s move in elliptical orbits around the sun, whit the sun at one of the two foci of the elliptical orbit . This law means that the orbit of a planet around the sun is an ellipse and not an exact circle.
