Solution:

Given, volume of NaOH solution = 25 mL
Molarity of NaOH solution = 0.2 M

Let the volume of sulphuric acid solution required to neutralize 25 mL of NaOH solution be V mL.

Molarity of sulphuric acid solution can be calculated as follows:

M1V1 = M2V2
where,
M1 = Molarity of NaOH solution = 0.2 M
V1 = Volume of NaOH solution = 25 mL
M2 = Molarity of sulphuric acid solution
V2 = Volume of sulphuric acid solution = V mL

Substituting the given values in the above equation, we get:

0.2 × 25 = M2V
M2 = (0.2 × 25) / V
M2 = 5 / V

To neutralize NaOH solution, we need equal number of moles of H2SO4 solution. The number of moles of H2SO4 required can be calculated as follows:

n(H2SO4) = n(NaOH)
where,
n(H2SO4) = Number of moles of H2SO4 required
n(NaOH) = Number of moles of NaOH present in the given volume of solution

Number of moles of NaOH present in 25 mL of 0.2 M NaOH solution can be calculated as follows:

n(NaOH) = Molarity × Volume / 1000
n(NaOH) = 0.2 × 25 / 1000
n(NaOH) = 0.005 moles

Therefore, the number of moles of H2SO4 required is also 0.005 moles.

Molarity of H2SO4 solution and volume of H2SO4 solution required to neutralize NaOH solution can be related as follows:

Molarity = Number of moles / Volume (in L)

Substituting the given values, we get:

5 / V = 0.005 / V(H2SO4)
V(H2SO4) = 1000 / 5
V(H2SO4) = 200 mL

Therefore, the volume of 0.1 M H2SO4 solution required to neutralize 25 mL of 0.2 M NaOH solution is 25 mL (Option B).
