After the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, a large number of people migrated from Pakistan to India. These migrants were mainly settled in the following regions of India:
Thus, the migrants mainly settled in the regions which were closer to the border of Pakistan. Rajasthan was the major destination for the migrants as it shared a long border with Pakistan. Delhi, being the capital of India, also attracted a large number of migrants.

After the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, a large number of people migrated from Pakistan to India. These migrants were mainly settled in the following regions of India:
- Rajasthan: A large number of people who migrated from Pakistan mainly settled in Rajasthan. The reason behind this was the close proximity of the state to the border of Pakistan. The migrants mainly settled in the cities of Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Bikaner.
- Delhi: Delhi was the capital of India and attracted a large number of migrants from Pakistan. Many of them settled in the areas of Old Delhi, Karol Bagh, and Paharganj.
- Gujarat: Some of the migrants settled in the state of Gujarat. The cities of Ahmedabad and Surat were the major destinations for the migrants.
- Jammu and Kashmir: Some of the migrants also settled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The migrants mainly settled in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar.
Thus, the migrants mainly settled in the regions which were closer to the border of Pakistan. Rajasthan was the major destination for the migrants as it shared a long border with Pakistan. Delhi, being the capital of India, also attracted a large number of migrants.
