silver salts are not kept in sunlight because silver salt undergoes photolytic decomposition reaction while kept in sunlight which splits up silver and salt from each other.decomposition reaction is a chemical reaction in which one reactant splits up to form 2 or more products here in the case of silversalt the sunlight splits up the silver salt to form silver and salt, such decomposition reaction which occur in presence of sunlight is called photolytic decomposition reaction and hence it is not wise to keep silversalt in sunlight
