Ratio of coins respectively for 1, 5 and 10-rupee coins = 3 ∶ 1.6 ∶ 1
Total amount = Rs 630
Ratio of coins respectively for 1, 5 and 10-rupee coins = 3 ∶ 1.6 ∶ 1
CALCULATION:
⇒ Ratio can be written in terms of whole numbers as: 15 ∶ 8 ∶ 5 (Multiplied by 5)
Let the no. of coins be 15x, 8x and 5x.
⇒ Total amount by 1-rupee coins = 1 × 15x = 15x ----(1)
⇒ Total amount by 5-rupee coins = 5 × 8x = 40x ----(2)
⇒ Total amount by 10-rupee coins = 10 × (5x) = 50x ----(3)
⇒ 15x + 40x + 50x = 630 (From (1), (2) and (3)) ----(4)
⇒ 105x = 630
⇒ x = 630/105 = 6
No. of 1-rupee coins = 15x = 15 × 6 = 90
No. of 5-rupee coins = 8x = 8 × 6 = 48
No. of 10-rupee coins = 5x = 5 × 6 = 30
∴ Total no. of coins = 90 + 48 + 30 = 168 coins
⇒ Ratio can be written in terms of whole numbers as: 15 ∶ 8 ∶ 5 (Multiplied by 5)
