Number of Girls = 2/5 of the class
Number of Girls (Absent) = 4/9
Number of Boys (Absent) = 1/3
FORMULA USED:
The total number of students who are present = Total number of students – Total number of Boys and Girls who are absent
CALCULATION:
Let the total number of students in a class be x
∴ According to the question,
Number of girls = 2/5 x and number of boys = x – 2/5 x = 3/5 x
Number of girls who are absent = 2/5 × 4/9 x = 8x/45 and number of boys who are absent = 3/5 × 1/3 x = x/5
Total number of students who are present = x – 8x/45 – x/5 = (45x – 8x – 9x)/45 = 28x/45
∴ The 28/45thpart of the students are present in the class

Given information:
- 2/5th of the students are girls
- The rest are boys
- 4/9 of the girls are absent
- 1/3 of the boys are absent

To find: The part of the total number of students that are present.

Let's assume the total number of students as 'x'.
Number of girls = 2/5 * x
Number of boys = x - (2/5 * x) = 3/5 * x

Now let's find the number of girls absent and boys absent.
Number of girls absent = 4/9 * (2/5 * x) = 8/45 * x
Number of boys absent = 1/3 * (3/5 * x) = 1/5 * x

The number of students present is given by:
Number of students present = Total number of students - Number of students absent

Plugging in the values:
Number of students present = x - (8/45 * x + 1/5 * x)
Number of students present = x - (8/45 + 1/5) * x
Number of students present = x - (40/225 + 45/225) * x
Number of students present = x - (85/225) * x
Number of students present = (225x - 85x) / 225
Number of students present = 140x / 225

Simplifying the fraction:
Number of students present = 28/45 * x

Therefore, the part of the total number of students that are present is 28/45, which corresponds to option 'A'.
