Parturition is an induced Complex neuroendocrine mechanism. In this signals are originated from a fully developed fetus and placenta. This lead to mild uterine contractions and hence fetal ejection reflex. Then oxytocin is released from maternal pituitary and it acts on uterine muscles leading to strong uterine contractions. This further continues to stronger and stronger contractions. As a result, the baby is expelled out of the uterus with placenta through the birth canal.

so, the correct option is 'B'.

Origin of Parturition Signals

Placenta and Fully Developed Foetus
- The signals for parturition originate from both the placenta and the fully developed foetus.
- The placenta plays a crucial role in initiating the process of parturition by producing hormones such as estrogen and prostaglandins.

Oxytocin Release from Maternal Pituitary
- Oxytocin, a hormone released from the maternal pituitary gland, also plays a significant role in the onset of labor.
- Oxytocin stimulates uterine contractions, which are essential for the expulsion of the foetus.

Fully Developed Foetus Only
- The fully developed foetus also releases signals that trigger the initiation of labor.
- Factors such as the maturation of the fetal adrenal glands and the release of cortisol contribute to the signaling of parturition.
Therefore, the signals for parturition originate from a combination of factors, including the placenta, fully developed foetus, and the release of oxytocin from the maternal pituitary gland. Each of these components plays a crucial role in preparing the mother's body for childbirth and ensuring a successful delivery.
