- Tundra habitats are found in polar regions and high altitudes, characterized by extremely cold temperatures and a short growing season. They have low biodiversity and are mainly inhabited by hardy plant species and a few animal species adapted to the cold climate.

2. **Aquatic Habitat:**
- Aquatic habitats are those that are found in water. They include freshwater habitats such as rivers, lakes, and ponds, as well as marine habitats like oceans and seas.
- Freshwater habitats are bodies of water with low salt concentration. They can be flowing (rivers) or still (lakes and ponds), and provide a wide range of niches for plants and animals.
- Marine habitats are the largest habitats on Earth, covering about 70% of its surface. They include oceans, seas, coral reefs, and estuaries. Marine habitats have high salt concentration and support diverse marine life, including various fish species, marine mammals, and coral reef ecosystems.

* HYDROPHYTES = These plants need maximum amount of water. Hence, they grow in water. they have either very small roots or no roots at all. They bear leaves coated with a thin film . This film help them to protect them in water.
