When the author's parents left him with his grandmother in the village to settle in the city ,his grandmother used to be his best friend she would wake him up in the morning and get him ready for his school , she would accompany him to school as well they used to enjoy their life a lot but when the authors parents got settled in this city the call for author and his grandmother. now the author started going to English Medium School where he was taught things of Western science because of which his grandmother was unable to help him with his lesson so their realtionship started deteriorating.
thus it was a turning point in the life and friendship of author with his grandmother.
hence b is the correct answer.
